Character of a happy man
1. The central idea of this poem is that the happy man, according Tohenry Wotton is nobody’s slave. He obeys nobody’s orders. His thoughts and feelings are honest. He lives a simple, truthful life. He loves to do good to others.  He flatters nobody. He is free from jealousy. He is not afraid of this future. He follows the rules of good behavior. He prays to god to seek his grace. He begs no gifts from god. He is above the hope of rising to a higher position and the fear of failing to a lower state. He is his own master. He owns nothing, yet he has everything.

2. This poem gives the secret of a truly happy person`s life. Such a person leads an honest life .He is jealous of none .He is content with whatever little he has. He is not a slave of passions. He follows the path of goodness

Death the Leveller
Ans   1. The central idea of this poem is that Death spares none. It is a great leveler. The high and low, the rich and poor cannot escape the icy hands of death. There is no defense against death. The only things that last forever are the just and noble deeds.
2. Death comes to all. It spares none. It treats the mighty and the weak equally. It reduces everyone to dust. Therefore, it is useless to boast of one`s power or wealth. Only our good actions remain after our death. Therefore, we should always be just in our action.

Ballad of Sir Partap Singh
 1.  The central idea of this poem is that the caste-system creates divisions in society. It is very harmful. One should rise above considerations of caste, colour and creed. The law of equality and brotherhood should govern our relations with other. That is the central idea of this poem.
2. This poem brings out the folly of the caste system. All men equal in the eyes of God. No one is high or low by caste. Humanity is the only true caste. A caste that divides men from men to men can`t be called a true caste.

Razia, the Tigress
The central idea of this poem is that Tigress Razia has two cubs. Tiger Sheru has left them. He no longer plays with the cubs. He had a strong sense of smell and knew everything about the winds. Razia is torn between grief and fear. She is afraid of hyenas who could kill her cubs if left alone. But she is more afraid of poachers who carry guns and kill forest creatures.
2 This poem underlines the grave danger to wildlife resulting from the destruction of forests. Man has usurped the land belonging to wild animals. Now the poor animals have nowhere to live. They live in the danger of poachers.

Where The Mind if Without Fear
1. The central idea of this poem is that the poet wants his countrymen to be fearless and proud of being truthful, reasonable and knowledgeable. They should live like brothers, and march on the road to progress and prosperity and perfection. This is the India of the poet’s dreams.
2. The poet prays to God to turn his country into a heaven of freedom. He prays that his countrymen should give up all that is evil. They should not be narrow-minded. Only then can his country gain freedom in the real sense.
3. The poem consist of wonderful message.  The central idea of this poem is that the poet wants his countrymen to be fearless and proud of being truthful, reasonable and knowledgeable. They should live like brothers, and march on the road to progress and prosperity and perfection. This is the India of the poet’s dreams.
